Find Calm Again

Anxiety & Stress Therapy

Signs Anxiety May Be Affecting You

When anxiety and stress won’t shift, it’s not because you are “weak” it’s your system trying to protect you. Together we’ll work gently at the emotional root so you can feel calmer, clearer and more in control again.

What this can feel like

  • A racing mind, tight chest, restless body - even when nothing “major” is happening.
  • Snappy, overwhelmed, or disconnected from yourself and the people you care about.
  • Trouble switching off, sleeping, or focusing at work.
  • Panic or dread that seems to come from nowhere.
  • You’ve tried tools or past therapy that helped for a bit… but it didn’t last.

How therapy helps (root‑cause, not just coping)

  • Lower your baseline anxiety by calming the nervous system safely.
  • Understand what’s driving the patterns beneath stress and overwhelm.
  • Gently update old emotional learnings so spikes become less frequent and less intense.
  • Rebuild inner trust and a steadier sense of self.
  • Carry practical, doable strategies into everyday life - without pressure.

How I work

I use a trauma‑informed, whole‑person approach that blends counselling, mind–body work and practical tools - adapting to what feels most supportive each session. When appropriate, we may include the MAP Method™ to help your mind update unhelpful patterns gently and effectively.

What changes clients notice
  • Calmer mind, fewer spirals and “what‑ifs”
  • Better emotional regulation and resilience
  • More presence and ease in relationships
  • Clearer boundaries and self‑trust
Is this for you?

This work is a good fit if you’re ready to show up weekly, want more than short‑term coping tips, and are open to a gentle, steady process that goes deeper than symptoms. Scepticism is welcome - safety and pacing come first.

What working together looks like

Most clients begin with a 12‑week programme: a clear, supportive path that builds safety, insight and lasting change. After the programme, you can continue with individual sessions if helpful.

Online sessions (UK‑wide)

All sessions are online via secure video, so you can settle into therapy from your own space and keep a consistent rhythm — wherever you are in the UK.

Reconnect With Yourself

Rebuild Confidence and Self‑Worth

Living With Self-Doubt

If your confidence feels brittle - strong one day, gone the next - it’s not a personal flaw. It’s often the echo of old patterns: people‑pleasing, self‑criticism, shaky boundaries or never feeling “enough”. We’ll work at the emotional root so your confidence becomes calmer, steadier and real.

What this can feel like

  • You second‑guess yourself and struggle to make decisions.
  • You’re kind to others but hard on yourself.
  • Boundaries blur - you say yes when you mean no and feel resentful later.
  • You downplay your needs or apologise for taking up space.
  • You’ve achieved a lot, yet still feel like an imposter.

How therapy helps (root‑cause, not just coping)

  • Understand what shaped low self‑worth and unhelpful patterns.
  • Gently update old beliefs and inner narratives.
  • Build practical, compassionate boundaries.
  • Strengthen inner trust so confidence doesn’t depend on external approval.
  • Bring more ease and honesty into relationships.

How I work

I use a trauma‑informed, whole‑person approach that blends counselling, mind–body work and practical tools - adapting to what feels most supportive each session. When appropriate, we may include the MAP Method™ to help your mind update unhelpful patterns gently and effectively.

What changes clients notice
  • Quieter inner critic; kinder self‑talk
  • Clearer boundaries and more authentic “yes/no”
  • Greater ease in conversations and decisions
  • A steadier sense of who you are and what you need
Is this for you?

This work suits adults who want a gentle, steady process that goes deeper than tips and tricks - including if previous therapy helped for a while but didn’t last. We’ll move at your pace.

What if I’m worried I’ll slip back?

We’ll focus on steady, sustainable change and give you simple practices to keep momentum. The goal is inner trust that holds - not a temporary boost.

Compassionate Support

Trauma‑informed therapy

Gentle Emotional Healing

Difficult experiences can leave patterns that live on in the body and mind. Together we’ll work gently at the emotional root - at your pace - so you can feel safer inside, more connected to yourself and steadier in everyday life.

What this can feel like

  • Feeling on edge, numb or “not like myself”
  • Sudden spikes of fear, shame or overwhelm
  • Trouble sleeping, relaxing or staying present with people you care about
  • Old memories or dynamics that keep replaying
  • You’ve tried to “push through” or talk it out, but it hasn’t really shifted

How I work

What can change over time
  • More calm and a wider “window” for everyday stress
  • Less reactivity and fewer “out of the blue” spikes
  • Clearer boundaries, self‑respect and choice
  • A kinder, more connected relationship with yourself and others
Is this for you?

This work suits adults who want a steady, compassionate process rather than quick fixes - including those who feel sceptical after previous therapy. We’ll move gently and collaboratively.

Will I have to revisit everything in detail?

No. We’ll only go where feels safe and useful. There are many gentle ways to work with trauma that don’t require retelling every experience.

  • Measurable emotional and behavioural shifts
  • This structure supports depth, continuity and meaningful change.
  • Session Format

Your Options for Getting Started

You are welcome to begin in the way that feels most comfortable for you:

Option 1 - Dive Straight Into the 12‑Week Container

If you already feel clear and ready, you can begin the full 12‑week therapeutic process straight away.

Option 2 - Initial Session First

If you prefer, we can have an initial 60‑minute session to get to know each other, explore what brings you here, and decide together whether the 12‑week process feels right for you.

There is no pressure - both options are equally welcome.

Practical Information

Cancellations, Rescheduling & Missed Sessions

(48‑hour cancellation policy | Therapy boundaries)

  • 48 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule
  • Sessions cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice are charged in full
  • Two missed sessions are included within the 12‑week process
  • Additional missed sessions beyond the two permitted are charged in full
  • Late arrivals still end at the scheduled time
  • These boundaries protect the therapeutic container and ensure fairness for all clients.
Ending Therapy Early & Refunds

Therapy is a collaborative process, and your wellbeing is always the priority. If, following a discussion together, we agree that therapy is no longer beneficial or required, the process may end sooner than the full 12 weeks. In this case:

  • Any unused, pre‑paid sessions will be refunded in full
  • You will never be “stuck” in therapy or obligated to continue if it no longer feels right

However, if you choose to end therapy without discussion, or simply decide not to continue without letting me know, the remaining fee for unused sessions will be forfeited. This protects the therapeutic container and the time that has been reserved for you.

Confidentiality & Professional Standards

(GDPR‑compliant | Safe therapeutic environment)

Your sessions are confidential except where:

  • You are at risk of serious harm
  • Someone else is at risk of serious harm
  • There is a legal requirement to share information

I keep brief, secure notes in line with UK professional and GDPR requirements.
